Happy Sabbath and welcome to the Placerville Seventh-day Adventist Church! Today’s service was filled with joy, worship, and a powerful reminder that God is preparing the way—even before we know we’ll need it. From a moving children’s story about a ski accident and the “perfectly-timed” ski patrol number, to worship songs declaring that God is mighty to save, we were invited to trust God with our whole hearts. Our guest speaker, Lori Trujillo (Northern California Conference – Development & Communication), brought a timely message about what happens when life doesn’t make sense: we fill in the blanks. Our minds naturally form assumptions (biases) to feel safe—but Proverbs 3:5 calls us to a better way: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding… and He will direct your path. Lori also shared inspiring “testimonies” straight from YOU—survey responses that described Placerville SDA as welcoming, mission-driven, loving, and outward-facing… a church that serves the community, supports families, and makes it easier for people to know God. We were reminded that our local church is part of a much bigger family: a global Adventist movement spanning millions of believers and thousands of congregations worldwide.
