This is a detailed first look around the new Hyundai IONIQ 6 electric car. Jonny Smith was granted early first look access to film a detailed walk around Hyundai's streamlined EV saloon that is the production ready version of the Prophecy concept. It might share a name with the woodlouse looking Ioniq and the appealing future/retro Delta Integrale Ioniq 5 models, this new Ioniq bears no aesthetic resemblance to either car. The 6 is a long, low ground-up EV saloon based upon the bespoke Hyundai E-GMP flat-floor platform and appears to have been influenced by Porsches and perhaps first generation Merc CLSs. No firm specs yet, but expect over 300 mile range and a price from £50,000.
