As the title says, this is a portion of the video from my dive in the Georgia Aquarium's "Ocean Voyager" tank (the "Journey with Gentle Giants" program). The tank is around 6.3 million gallons of water, and it contains species from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans, including: Whale sharks, manta rays, hammerhead sharks, a few sand tiger sharks, some carpet sharks, guitarfish, sawfish, a handful of giant grouper, and tons of other smaller fish (jacks and the like). This is a fantastic aquarium! Very clean, very neat, LOTS to see and do (including several "touch tanks"--one with rays and bonnethead sharks!). The staff was extremely helpful, the layout very friendly and easy to navigate, and the tanks themselves very well arranged for the best viewing. This dive program is in a class by itself, too! They provide 100% of the gear you need (unless you want to bring your own), and you just show up with your diver card and swimsuit. You get plenty of preparation, information, and help, and still TONS of time in the tank. While you are being guided, there is PLENTY of freedom to explore and look around--you never feel rushed or "herded" by the staff. The animals are very curious, and do not shy away at all. Keep your head on a swivel, because they'll sometimes sneak up right behind you (as you can see in the video)! The staff do an excellent job keeping all the tank inhabitants diver-friendly to minimize danger without also minimizing exposure to the animals. I HIGHLY recommend this program to any diver out there. (And if you're not certified, there IS a snorkeling program, too--same tank, same critters!) Portions containing stock footage or the names of my dive mates have been removed--this is only the footage of the dive in which I participated.
