Borgo San Giovanni is on of the 6-7 ghost towns in Sicily. These towns were built in the 50's by Region of Sicily, meant for the farmers. But got abandoned fast because they were very small and lacked running water and electricity. I took the SP5 road uphills which is a good road to drive, and then turned left on a small country road which I would not recommend for a bigger car. I drive a small Fiat in this video. It took me about 20 minutes to walk downhills to the small town. You see the town quite early after leaving the asphalt road. Do not drive further when asphalt ends. My name is Johanna.
