Malir River Dam Crossing Bridge Connect Kathore || Shahrah-e-Bhutto EXPRESSWAY‪@goodluckaamir‬ The Malir River is in Karachi and features numerous small dams and check dams, including the Malir Memon Goth Dam, but there is no single large, main Malir River Dam; instead, the dams primarily serve to recharge groundwater and store rainwater for local use, though their effectiveness is impacted by weather and ongoing urbanization and encroachment on the river basin. Shahrah-e-Bhutto is the formal name for the Malir Expressway, a 39 km under-construction expressway in Karachi, Pakistan, designed to connect the KPT Interchange to the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway near Kathore. This high-speed, access-controlled corridor is being built on the floodplains of the Malir River as a large-scale Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project launched by the Local Government of Sindh.
