Saltburn Beach The beach at Saltburn runs from one end of Redcar all the way to the Ship Inn at Saltburn – in which it is a beautiful sandy shingle beach. On the beach at Saltburn it contains a photogenic and historic pier which is connected from the town-centre by the cliff lift. Saltburn beach is well known for it’s waterspots – in particular surfing. Which it proudly runs the Saltburn Surf School, helping you catch and learn how to ride the best waves. In addition to this on New Years Day each year, people come down to the beach to have a dip whilst raising money and awareness for various charities, such as SARA Animal Rescue.
