Chasing the Northern Central Railway / New Freedom, PA. NCRR 17 and SIHX 6076 Steam and Diesel

On November 12th, 2022, I chased the Northern Central Railway. This is a tourist railroad based out of New Freedom, PA, and is known for its replica of the Abraham Lincoln Funeral Train. While the steam engine #17 was on the train, it suffered mechanical problems forcing the train back to the shops, and sidelining the steam engine for the weekend. #17 (4-4-0) was built in 2013 as a replica by Kloke Locomotive Works in Elgin, Illinois. #17 is a wood burning steam locomotive. EMD GP9 SIHX 6076, an ex Pennsylvania built in 1959, pulled the train to Hanover Junction. After allowing passengers off the train, the 6076 headed north to Seven Valleys to run around the train.
