Unfortunately the game itself was ambitious beyond the capability of the gameplay and graphics to tie it all together, because the control is a bit sluggish as if you were playing a Resident Evil style game with tank controls, and the music is such a high level of performance that it is almost impossible to match the epic level with PS1 graphics. It may have been better to use pre-rendered backgrounds with a more traditional RPG style, but it was evident they wanted to experiment with 3D gameplay and enable the player to control multiple characters.
