Wanida restaurant review in Pattaya (Thai) Restaurant review in Pattaya. Happily recommended food but best to try for yourself. Be greeted with a BIG smile Delicious Thai food at good prices Wanida Kitchen is owned by Pat and his wife Wanida. Pat is the front man, quick with the friendly smiles and looking to cater to the diner’s wants! Pat has a working knowledge of English. They both love to see happy customers enjoying their food. This is a great place for you night owls. It does not open until 6 pm and then stays open until 3:30 am every day. I have been there multiple times, and being a people watcher, I am always entertained by the late night characters that come through. Note: during the pandemic they close around 11pm I haven't had a meal there yet that I have not thoroughly enjoyed! I have brought many friends there in the last six years and everyone has been happy with their food. Occasional drawback: Sometimes the wait times for food is long as the kitchen is small and the number of customers is often large. This is an open air location under a large roof so be ready for street noise and the odd cat or two to wander through. Nothing pristine about the environment, just functional. Fans for cooling. If you want a sparkling clean, quiet, modern, romantic place to dine this is not it. But you might get to share a table and swap stories with people from a variety of countries around the world that come here. Each of the 42 dishes offered in the vegetarian menu are priced at 120 baht each. Tip: Look for some gems that are veggie but only listed in the regular menu not the vegetarian menu. To name some, you will find veggie tempura, deep fried mushrooms and my favorite dish so far the Yellow Curry!!! Just ask Pat to make the curry veggie style.
