Bus chaos in Wycombe after breakdown

Arriva the Shires small DAF SB120 4518 failed at the entry to the buses only section of High Wycombe town centre. The road is only wide enough for one bus at a time and 4518 failed in the area where a bus would wait for one coming in the opposite direction to pass. Other buses then had to pass on its right and out of sight of buses coming in the opposite direction. The situation was exacerbated by cars parked illegally around the junction leaving little room for manoeuvre when problems arose. It wasn't helped by at least four cars ignoring the No Entry Buses Only signs and adding to the fray. After an hour or so a MAN recovery vehicle turned up and hauled 4518 away releasing a small flood of buses held up whilst the tow got underway.
