Here we have a first Generation SHG horn/strobe from the early 1990's. At a first glance, it seems like a typical SHG, from the same body, similar electronics, and the like. However, one of the major differences that I have noticed is the strobe that the unit has. Take a closer look at the strobe on the unit, and you will notice there is no mirrored surface in the strobe itself. However, take note that there is a magnifying element on the lens itself. This strobe solely relies on that magnifier to maximize the amount of light possible. Later generations of the SHG would utilize a mirrored surface behind the strobe tube. Interestingly enough, the SHG is capable of self-coding the horn to march-time, a quite unusual option for a self-coding option. Keep in mind that this was before temporal/code 3 came into effect. The SHG would be redesigned later on to include a temporal option, as opposed to march time (and would sound more like the Commander Series). DISCLAIMER: 1: It is a FELONY to pull a fire alarm in public to falsely report a fire (i.e. "Just for fun). A fire alarm in a public building should only be pulled if there is actually a fire or other emergency. However, this is being activated in a controlled and legal environment, an enthusiast's test setup. No fire departments were called when activating the alarm. 2: This video contains flashing lights from a strobe. Those prone to seizures from flashing lights SHOULD NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO. I AM NOT responsible for any legal damages done for pulling a false alarm, or for any seizures. These are your decisions, not mine!
