In 2004, Mark Softich and Dan Carle started out putting songs together based on various different metal styles from Dream Theater and Opeth to Origin and Suffocation. Their goal was to create something a little more unique. These songs later added to the EP Slaves of Us All. It was obvious this band needed more than just one guitarist and a drummer, so they started seeking out other members. Mikey Salo, formerly a guitarist in Servanthood, joined Nostalia in 2005. Later that year, vocalist Grant Luoma and bassist Jason Popovich joined. This lineup continued for about a year when Kighle Ollah took over as the new bassist. In 2006, Nostalia released their debut full length album "Flags Must Fall". Currently, Nostalia is writing their second album "Roswell".
