Entamanu is a luxury lodge located right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. It has two parts to it, the main lodge and then Entamanu Private which is designed for small groups or families. The main lodge which you see here in the video does also have family rooms with the typical design of two separate rooms with their own bathroom facilities, but an interleading door between them. The overall experience here is very nice with very comfortable rooms, a great team to help with anything to make your stay enjoyable, good guides and we always enjoy the quality of food and drinks menu here as well. This lodge is for me very well located as you are in a very secluded part of the crater rim with a great view both from the front and back of the lodge. Plus you can see and visit one of the many Masai families still leading quite traditional lives here in this area, which is a nice way to end your safari day and learn about their lives and get some great photo opportunities watching their traditional dances and songs. Importantly also you are only 20 minutes away from one of the descent roads so you can get down into the crater floor nice and early and with few other vehicles about. The Ngorongoro Crater can be visited at any time of the year but it will get very wet here during the rain months of Nov and Dec plus March through to early June so some of the roads will be inaccessible. It is typically part of the Northern Circuit itineraries and well worth seeing, but you do need to get your head around the fact that there will be a lot of other vehicles there which can be overwhelming at times during a key sighting, like lions, or a rhino close to the road. But it is an incredible spectacle and you really need two nights here so you have the option of a full day in the crater without the time pressure of having to keep going onwards to your next destination which I see many itineraries show.
