Hey guys! Here is a free tutorial for everyone to enjoy. This quickly goes over the mysterious Redshift State node and some of its uses including Slope and Height based shading. Its a very powerful and useful utility node but a lot of people have no idea what it is for. The tutorial is in Maya but the same techniques apply, the only differences for C4D and Houdini etc will be the fact that you use Redshift Color Splitters and Float to Vector math nodes to split up the Normal data per color channel.
