A winter hike up Wetherlam, a mountain near the village of Coniston, in the county of Cumbria in the UK. This mountain forms part of the Coniston massif which includes the famous Old Man of Coniston and Swirl How. Coniston lies on the shore of Coniston Water, a beautiful lake made famous in the 1960s by Donald Campbell, racing driver and speed record holder, who sadly lost his life in 1967 on Coniston Water in pursuit of the water speed record in a vessel named Bluebird K7. This walk took me on a wonderful journey through the Tilberthwaite valley and to the summit of Wetherlam on a gloriously sunny winter's day in December 2024. Subscribe to my channel, "The Fells of Great Britain", for hiking and drone videos of my wanderings on the fells Great Britain and do feel free to leave comments, good or bad, and suggestions for improvement in my future videos.
