This video is finally here for you all!! After almost a year of collecting all the right parts and time needed to convert my rear drum brakes to disc, changing the axles shafts and the differential cover plate. What a nightmare! As you will see in this video, I used the "Inline Tube" DBK1012 disc brake conversion kit, the axle shafts from "National Drivetrain" (NDT) and Differential cover from Summit Racing. Bottom line, this video is going to help you SO MUCH because of how I had to put together a total jigsaw puzzle rather than having good instructions that are specific for the 82-92 Pontiac Firebird models. Inline uses the same conversion kit on the 2nd Gen 79-81 models and therefore their pictures, online videos and telephone support is mostly for the 2nd Gen models and not for the 3rd Gens. It was a miracle I actually pieced together the correct way to assemble this after at least 10 x removing the new axle shafts in and out. This video will next discuss the new axle shafts and expect them to come unassembled from NDT and how you will have to have them press fitted in yourself for additional $$$. Lastly, properly putting together the differential cover.
