Happy New Year, runners (and couch potatoes thinking about running)! 🏃♂️💨 On New Year's Eve, slightly drunk and full of optimism (and roast dinners), I boldly declared my 2026 running goal: **1500km for the year**. That's right – 1500 kilometres of pounding pavement, dodging puddles, and questioning my life choices. In this video I explain the goal, how I plan to achieve it and the likelihood of me failing. I also explain the importance of setting a goal no matter how big or small it maybe. For context: In the past 7 years combined, I've only managed about 900km total. Yep, I'm basically deciding to run more in one year than I've done in nearly a decade. Am I insane? Probably. Will there be tears, shin splints, and dramatic "why did I do this" monologues? Absolutely. But hey, go big or go home (and stay on the couch forever). That's roughly 29km per week or about 4km a day on average – sounds doable until you remember I'm the guy who once considered a 5k "ambitious." Follow along for the chaos: monthly updates, epic fails, surprise triumphs, gear reviews, and plenty of self-deprecating humor as I chase this ridiculous goal. Will I hit 1500km? Will I survive? Smash that subscribe button and turn on notifications to find out – your motivation is welcome! 😂 Drop a comment: What's YOUR 2026 fitness goal? Bonus points if it's equally delusional! #RunningChallenge #1500kmIn2026 #NewYearNewPain #AmateurRunner #FitnessFailOrWin #pepandjoe
