They don't come more classic than this. This game defined the mid/late 80's summertime british seaside arcades for me, it was everywhere! You were pretty much guaranteed to find an OutRun cab in any respectable arcade, and with that glorious attract sound of the skidding soundeffect echoing around the arcade. Like I did with most arcade conversions I picked this up on the Spectrum as soon as it was released completed with 'Real Arcade Music' on the 2nd cassette tape. Because I wasn't lucky enough to own a 128k with its own chip music using this was a must for that real arcade experience because the 48k version was sound effects only :( Not being happy that the red Ferrari being coloured whatever the stage happened to be (stage 1....a green Ferrari) Anyway, I used my creativity and cut out some clear sticky plastic and coloured it in red and stuck in on the screen making the car red and more authentic to the arcade. This added 10% playability instantly! Here's a picture I took a few years ago of the OutRun cab in Barry Island.
