https://www.frenchdrainman.com We're building a retaining wall to retain a pool yard.  We are installing in a French drain system behind this retaining wall.  There's going to be a lot of water that runs out of this pool yard off the pool deck. We don't want all that hydrostatic pressure building up behind this retaining wall and compromising the retaining wall. If the retaining wall shifts, then everything inside the pool yard shifts. That means that if the brick paver deck drops.  The landscape plantings drop.  It becomes a huge liability. We run a large sheet of our filter fabric our soil separator and we put two feet of stone in with a pipe.
