However, he is obviously a pro at this, and I am not. Every video I watched basically said it was hard and sped through the process. I wanted to make a detailed video showing how complicated it actually is. My Switch is fully functional, and I think it looks cool. That being said, I'm not sure I would want to embark on this journey again. I researched it like crazy prior to actually purchasing it and trying the install. I saw multiple posts on Reddit saying the middle part from BassTop was not the best quality. A few people said they kept their original Joy Con middle piece and they had little to no issues, other than the process itself being tedious. Before i did it, I was worried my blue and red middle pieces would look weird with the clear shell, but now I think it looks pretty cool.
