The story opens in the immediate, hollow aftermath of betrayal. In the blood-red shadows of the Chancellor’s office, a rain-soaked Anakin Skywalker pledges himself to the Dark Side. There is no triumph here—only a crushing realization of what has been lost. Under the gaze of his new Master, Darth Sidious, the hero Anakin dies, and the shadow known as Lord Vader is born. Leading the 501st Legion, Vader returns to the only home he has ever known. This is not a battle; it is an execution. Through silent, smoke-filled corridors, the Jedi are systematically hunted. The "Dark Version" focuses on the tragic reality of the purge, culminating in the heart-wrenching silence of the High Council Chamber, where the last sparks of the Jedi Order are extinguished by a blade of cold blue light. As a bruised morning sun rises over a burning Coruscant, Vader is dispatched to the volcanic world of Mustafar. Isolated and fueled by a delusional quest for peace, he executes the Separatist leaders with clinical brutality. Standing alone on a balcony overlooking rivers of fire, he is a king of ruins, waiting for the only person he believes can still love him. Padmé arrives, but she finds a monster where her husband used to be. The arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi shatters Vader's remaining sanity, leading to a desperate, violent duel across the industrial hellscape of the planet. This is a battle of brothers, ending in a scream of agony on the ashen banks of a lava river. Left for dead by his master, Anakin is consumed by fire, his body destroyed but his soul kept alive by pure, concentrated hate. The tragedy concludes in the sterile, dark surgical bays of Coruscant. In a sequence of industrial horror, the charred remains of the man are encased in a suit of black iron. As the iconic mask descends, the transition is complete. The final scene reveals the ultimate cost of his choices: a mechanical breath in an empty room, and the realization that in his quest to save life, he has become the very embodiment of death.
