This years West Somerset Autumn Steam Gala took on a Cambrian theme to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Newton & Machynlleth and the Aberystwyth & Welsh Coast Railways which later became part of the Cambrian Railways Company. The West Somerset, as with previous events, renamed all the stations to those on Cambrian routes, with the termini at Bishops Lydeard becoming Shrewsbury, and Minehead becoming Pwllheli. The railway also brought in four guest locos to compliment the home fleet of locos, three of which were Manors and the other a Castle. Since Manors were a common sight on the Cambrian, the railway decided to bring four of the preserved examples that are currently running together. The full line up of locos was:- |GWR Manor Class No 7812 'Erlestoke Manor' |BR(W) Manor Class No 7822 'Foxcote Manor' |BR(W) Manor Class No 7827 'Lydham Manor' |BR(W) Manor Class No 7828 'Odney Manor' |GWR Castle Class No 5029 'Nunney Castle'/No 5026 'Cricceith Caslte' |GWR Modified Hall Class No 6960 'Raveningham Hall' |BR(W) 5101 Class No 4160 |WSR Mogul No 9351 (making its final gala appearance) |GWR 2885 Class No 3850 (on Driver for a Fiver duty) |SDJR 7F No 88 (shunting at Washford)
