The founders and owners of Kanile'a 'Ukulele, Joe & Kristen Souza, created an organization that focuses on only native endemic plants. Koa wood is primarily their source of making ukuleles, and planting of koa trees is their passionate way of giving back and sustaining Hawaii's forests.
