Just ran a test comparing two 6S2P battery packs: one built with 21700 EVE 40PL (4Ah, 70A) cells and the other with 21700 Ampace JP40 (4Ah, 70A) cells. Both packs were connected to a 24V inverter (3500W “China watts”), using a 1200W heat gun as the load. I timed them to see which pack would last longer while monitoring voltage, current, and temperature with Fluke meters. Remember you can get your cells in http://DIY500AMP.COM Results? EVE pack lasted 15:59. JP40 pack lasted 15:49. Pretty much identical performance! The main difference was the current draw: The JP40 pulled 25–27A, while the EVE pack pulled 1–2A less. This means the EVE pack was slightly more efficient, but both were rock solid. With 10 seconds of difference. Both packs performed great, and honestly, I’m impressed. If you’re building packs and wondering about these cells, either one is a solid choice. What do you think? Would you go EVE or Ampace? 👇
