The Encouragement Machine is a creative engineering project designed to provide encouragement at the touch of a button. This video follows the process I used to create this machine. It includes computer automated design (CAD), component selection, 3D printing, building, and electronics. Like all my projects, the Encouragement Machine falls at the intersection of Art and Engineering. It was designed to highlight the battle that goes on in our heads between the doubts telling us we're not good enough and the power we have to overcome it all and achieve great things. I definitely had to fight off these same doubts in order to complete this project (ironic, right?). I hope you enjoy this video as much as I have enjoyed the process of making it for you.
