Thank you for spending this winter afternoon with us. 🤍 ** Grammy G's Banana Bread ** Ingredients: 3 (or 4) mashed bananas (medium ripe) 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup of cold water 1 tsp. baking powder salt 2 1/2 cups flour Directions: 1. Mash bananas in bowl. May need to place in fridge to further darkening, if desired. 2. Mix dry ingredients in seperate bowl (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt). 3. Mix wet ingredients in another bowl. First, cream the shortening + sugar (slowly... adding sugar gradually). Add eggs, water, and bananas (whip eggs with fork first). 4. Mix dry and wet ingredients together. 5. Grease and flour pan. 6. Bake 1 hour in 350° oven. 7.
