Recently the UK CAA introduced the Acceptable Means of Compliance Documentation stating in their eyes to remain VLOS (Visual Line of Site) with your drone the pilot must be able to orientate the drone at all times. Orientation must be maintained visually, by eye with the help of glasses or contact lenses only, not by using any form of telemetry, telescope etc. The DJI mini series are popular drones because of the relaxed rules in relation to uninvolved people due to their sub 250g status, but there use may be limited for operations far away from the pilot as they are so small their orientation is difficult to maintain past 50m.
