ILM was George Lucas VFX company that he started in San Rafael California, just outside San Francisco. And we can thank them for almost all technological advances that have been used in the making of VFX on film since then. We had the opportunity to visit these sound-stages in San Rafael (now called 32 ten studios) and it was incredible to feel the energy of where all these films were created.
