Arm DDT (Previously Allinea DDT) for containers and user-defined data types : Debug complex data types effortlessly. When it comes to developing large applications, user defined types - such as C++ classes or F90 derived types - provide the encapsulation and abstraction that is essential in the drive for higher quality code. These types can have complex implementations and - in a classical debugger - can be difficult to view. An example is the C++ STL container types - these represent common structures such as vectors, queues, stacks, or sets but are represented internally as complex structures of pointers, referencing other pointers and data values. Arm DDT makes it easy to see these containers - showing them as the containers they are, rather than the implementation underneath - so you can see the elements of a linked list or a set easily. During this webinar (which includes a demonstration), we will see how Arm DDT displays standard C++ STL containers, and show how you can easily adapt Arm DDT to support customized display of the structures you have developed yourself.
