This short demo shows how Snapshot uses AI to automatically explain Salesforce metadata, reports, and errors so teams can quickly understand complex configurations. Throughout Snapshot, users can select assets, reports, or error messages and ask the platform to explain them. This capability is available in many areas of the application, including Impact Analysis, Field Usage reports, and metadata deployment screens. For example, a user reviewing a complex Flow can request a full explanation directly from the interface. Snapshot then presents several layers of context to help interpret the metadata. First, the raw metadata is displayed, including the XML definition of the Flow. This provides the technical structure behind the automation. Next, Snapshot generates documentation that describes the components of the Flow. Each element is explained so admins and developers can clearly understand how the automation works. Users can also include their own metadata notes. These notes allow teams to capture business context such as project details, business requirements, or internal policies associated with the metadata. The Explain interface also includes customizable prompts. Teams can define prompts such as generating a functional specification, documenting business logic, or explaining architecture. These prompts can be shared across teams so organizations can standardize how metadata is documented and reviewed. When the explanation is submitted to a language model, Snapshot combines all available context including the XML metadata, generated documentation, and internal notes. The result is a detailed explanation or functional specification that fully describes how the asset works. Because the conversation continues within the same context, users can ask follow up questions and explore the metadata in greater depth. This capability helps Salesforce teams understand complex automations, troubleshoot errors, and document their environments much faster.
