US Shields 5th Fleet From Iran Missiles, Readies “Task Force Scorpion” For Kamikaze Strikes | 4K

The US military seems to be securing its naval assets deployed to Middle East as it fears Iranian retaliatory strikes should President Trump order an attack on Iran. American naval vessels, which are typically docked in Bahrain, home to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, appeared to be at sea, the Associated Press reported. Before Iran’s attack on a US base in Qatar in last June, the Fifth Fleet similarly dispersed its ships at sea to protect against a potential strike, the report said. Meanwhile, the Pentagon continues to amass forces and other air assets to the region in preparation for potential strikes on Iran. Three US refuelling tankers have arrived at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport while three others are enroute as part of a broader US military buildup in the Middle East. These follow earlier arrivals of F-22 and F-35 fighter jets and cargo aircraft that have already arrived in Israel. The USS Gerald R.
