Drum Major Derek Dean and Pipe Major Ian Stuart lead Huntly & District Pipe Band as they march in to start their public displays during the 2022 Aboyne Highland Games. These were held on Saturday 6th August 2022 on the green at Aboyne in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The band were playing the tunes "Bloody fields of Flanders" and "8th Argylls Crossing the river Po". Huntly and District Pipe Band are a recreational band, formed in 1948 by Gordon Highlanders returning home from service in WWII, and the Gordon tartan is synonymous with the Huntly and District Pipe Band, having been devised by Forsythes of Huntly. #scotland #aboyne #highlandgames #bagpipes #pipeband #pipesanddrums #deeside #scotlandtravel #scotland2022 #marchingband #kilts #huntly #drummajor
