Upon the recent release of this game, I found that there had been a release of this game that I was never aware of (1998) and after reading some reviews, I found a few that were disappointed that the 1995 release of this game was not included. Some say that the 1995 version is the definitive version of this game. While they do have somewhat valid arguments, whether or not the differences bother you highly depends on how picky you are. I myself am not crazy about the 1998 version's lack of presentation, but I do like the graphics and the added engine sound alot. The CD audio instead of the IMUSE midi music actually doesn't bother me at all. However your opinion may differ so I set out to make this video so you can see if you're missing anything or not. In my opinion the original release has the best intro by far, and I wish that Lucas Arts had never touched the original intro for the other versions as the added scenes just don't blend well with the older ones and completely break the flow. Typical George Lucas (Han shoots second, ZING!) The 1998 intro is by far the worst with the awful music quality and missing sound effects. Oh well. I just watch the original intro when I wanna see it. Other than that, all of these games have the same tight controls and stellar gameplay, and that's what really counts. I have all three versions of this game, and I currently play the 1998 release over the 1995 release. Oh BTW, you can set the music in the original release to use general midi as heard in the 1995 release instead of the FM sound. I kept the original with the FM sound because that's the way I and many others originally played it. Sorry that I had to use Bandicam to capture everything but the combat in the 1998 version. It was the only way I could capture it because neither Shadowplay or MSI Afterburner would capture it. Thanks for watching :)
