Done with medium load. Light load is a bit more lenient. The first set of clips shows the best way to do it, I believe. At point blank, you run forward a tiny bit, do a flick to 45°, then back to forward (maybe angled a tiny bit left). You roll approximately when she turns toward you again, but the later you roll, the better. At "medium" range, run forward slightly longer, do the same flick, but run straight forward again for a bit, then go to 45°. You can probably continue to hold forward instead of 45°, but I haven't tested that. At long range, just run and jump away, two-handing your weapon as you run if applicable. If you follow these tips, it should eventually click, but I don't know how long that will take, since I slowly developed this technique and the feel for it over months. I didn't have these tips tho; I just had to feel it out.
