This meeting revisited the rationale, presented the progress made and outlined the implications for mediators of professionalising the sector going forward. We also get insight into the Law Reform Commission’s initiative to draft a Mediation Act to regulate the industry and a view from the Johannesburg High Court where Rule 41A is being implemented. Hendrik Kotze, who was pivotal in establishing the voluntary professional body, DiSAC addresses the professionaliastion topics.
