Melissa joins us on the heels of Modacity’s recent launch of their first book titled, Building the Cycling City. The book has been endorsed by the likes of Charles Montgomery, author of the Happy City, Urbanist Brent Toderian and former Chief Planner of the City of Toronto, Jennifer Keesmaat. Melissa will discuss how the Netherlands has become the world’s top cycling nation, and how North American cities are starting to implement Dutch-inspired ideas and infrastructure. Daniel Vriend will discuss what the City has been doing to promote cycling and how it relates to the approach in the Netherlands.
