About the Irish Bee Conservation Project

The Irish Bee Conservation Project is a community focused charity entirely run by volunteers. Of the over 100 species of native Irish bees, over 50% are in decline, the honey bee is essentially a farmed species and three species of bee are known to be extinct. IBCP wants to reverse the decline. We aim to protect all bee species for future generations. This is not only a moral responsibility. Our very survival may depend upon it.
