Join me in the studio as I dive into the 2025 Bead Society of Victoria Bead Challenge pack! This is the first year in a long time that I have not entered the Bead Society of Victoria's Bead Challenge. I purchased a pack and instead will design with you on YouTube. In this bead embroidery session, I’m continuing work on my Bead Society Challenge piece and sharing my process as I bezel and stitch down stones, add sparkling cup chain, and incorporate two-hole cabochons, bugle beads, and seed beads to bring the design together. You’ll see how I: Secure bezelled stones neatly onto the foundation Add a frame of vibrant fuchsia cup chain Experiment with two-hole cabochons and seed bead accents Use bugle beads to create a striking, fan like effect Balance colours and shapes to keep the piece symmetrical and cohesive Along the way, I talk through design decisions, tips for working with thread vs Fireline, and tricks to avoid cracked beads or misaligned components. This project has an almost nautical, compass like feel with its strong symmetry, pink and blue palette, and layered textures and I’m loving how it’s coming together! Subscribe to follow along as I finish this challenge piece and share more bead embroidery and bead weaving tutorials.
