Rosegarden Funeral Party - "Bring Me the Disco King" & "Tearjerker" TAKE COVER Special Installment 1

This unique episode of our series will feature two songs in one sitting. Both songs refer back to an artist covered previously, but showcase an entirely different side of said artist. One of the two songs featured in this video is David Bowie’s Bring Me the Disco King off of his 2003 record “Reality” and features the talents of Poppy Xander on piano and Chris Holmes on drums. The second of the two songs featured in this next video is a song from Chilly Gonzales’ and Jarvis Cocker’s 2017 collaboration record, “Room 29.” This concept record from neo-classical/jazz pianist and front man of, British band, Pulp, alludes to the “...birth of celebrity culture...” [Jarvis Cocker 2017] as it tells stories inspired by the infamous Los Angeles hotel, the Chateau Marmont.
