Ridiculously Simple Arduino Magnetometers

Magnetometers are useful for a variety of applications, such as measuring the current in a wire or the distance from a magnet. We demonstrate four magnetometer alternatives for Arduinos: three with I2C or SPI interfaces, plus an analog sensor. All four sensors are sensitive, small, and easy to interface. The best one depends on the required precision. We used breakout boards that are easy to connect to an Arduino, and the Arduino programs are ridiculously simple.
