#paddling_mongolia #packraft_mongolia After a very wet summer and some serious flooding the upper Kharaa finally had enough water to warrant a paddling trip. A pleasant river with plenty of nice camping spots. The Trans-Mongolian railway runs parallel to the river so there are several easy options for starting and finishing a trip. I paddled only about 35 km between Khujirt and Buyant stations, as it rained quite a lot. I suppose the section between Buyant and Tunkhel has some rapids and could be a bit trickier in parts (August 2023).
