We spent a day exploring Busan’s coast by riding the famous Haeundae Sky Capsule from Mipo Station (미포) to Cheongsapo Station (청사포). On the way back, we took the Beach Train and stopped at Haewol Observatory / Haewol Skywalk (해월전망대) for sea-level views of the coastline. Pastel capsules, ocean breeze, and a golden sunset — it was pure K-drama vibes! 💕 Quick Itinerary Mipo (미포) → Sky Capsule → Cheongsapo (청사포) → walk & cafés → Beach Train → Haewol Observatory (해월전망대) → back to Mipo Before You Go (Essential Tips) Booking & boarding: The Sky Capsule uses timed entry (your reservation time = entrance time). Arrive ~10 minutes early. Ride times: • Sky Capsule: Mipo ↔ Cheongsapo ~30 mins (one way) • Beach Train: Mipo ↔ Songjeong ~25 mins (one way) Pass rules (Beach Train): • “Pass for two rides” = get off at any station twice • “Pass for all stops” = one re-board at each station (Note: schedules can change, it’s an amusement facility, not public transit.) Best time to visit: Late afternoon → sunset for golden hour views (especially at Haewol). View tip: Sit on the ocean-facing side in the capsule; wipe windows for clearer photos and videos. Weather: Windy days bring bigger waves and dramatic footage, but operations may adjust in rough conditions. Getting There (Mipo Station) From Haeundae Station (Line 2) it’s a 15–20 min walk along Haeundae Beach. Look for the LCT The Sharp Towers and Blueline Park entrance. About Haewol Observatory (Haewol Skywalk) A new sea-walk lookout on the Haeundae coast with crescent-inspired design and glass floor sections. There’s a dedicated Beach Train stop here, making it an easy and worthwhile detour on your return.
