DJ: Solaris / solaris100 90s Hip-Hop In the early ‘90s, I became a huge Prince fan. From that moment on, I spent much of my free time catching up on all the albums he released during the 80s—while also staying up-to-date with his constant stream of new music. Sometimes, he’d drop up to four albums a year! At the same time, I’ve always been into Hip-Hop music. But back then, I wasn’t as deep into the scene—I mostly listened to what was playing on MTV, in the charts, or in the clubs. That’s why I’m so excited about this amazing ‘90s Hip-Hop set by Axel, aka Solaris100, which he recorded right in my kitchen! While listening to his mix, I discovered rap tracks I’d never heard before, and now I can’t wait to dive deeper into the genre. Axel and I first connected online, and we decided to meet up to see if we clicked. I was blown away by his energy and creativity. Not only is he a talented graphic designer, creating incredible visuals and mesmerizing graffiti, but he’s also a true hip-hop soldier who DJs with passion. While prepping for this session, I couldn’t help but think: what better way to complement Axel’s set than with some classic NYC-style pizza? So, come and join us on this spicy, nostalgic hip-hop journey. Let’s vibe together!
