The Eastern Africa DPI Journalism Fellowship is a two-year initiative designed to boost public awareness, participation, and reporting on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Digital Public Goods (DPGs) across the region. Through a blend of training, mentorship, and storytelling support, the programme will empower journalists to shape informed public conversations around technology and digital governance. 🌍Key Highlights: 1. Builds an evidence base on how media covers DPI and DPGs in Eastern Africa 2. Trains 35 journalists (20 in year one, 15 in year two) through both virtual and in-person sessions 3. Offers story grants and introduces a DPI journalism award category in national and regional competitions 4.
