Ljubljana Railway Museum is home to fascinating collection of locomotives from across Europe, we see early ornate locomotives where the look of the engine was important to more utilitarian examples where the ease of maintenance was a major factor in the design. The museum is based in a former locomotive depot complete with a working turntable onto which staff kindly moved a number of locomotives for our group to see and photograph. We also take a look at an exhibition of signalling equipment and track maintenance vehicles. Below is a list of some of the locomotives seen in this video along with some of the websites I used to find information about the locomotives featured - K3 - 760 mm gauge 0-4-0T built in 1892 by Krauss Locomotive Works, Linz SŽ 03-002 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 4-6-0 built in 1910 by WLF Floridsdorf 06-016 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 2-8-2 built in 1930 by A Borsig GmbH JDŽ 124-004 - Österreichische Südbahn 718 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 0-6-0 built in 1861 by StEG 133-005 - kkStb 73.372 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 0-8-0 06-018 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 2-8-2 built in 1930 by A Borsig GmbH 11-023 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 4-8-0 built in 1947 by MAVAG, Budapest SZ 17-006 - 1,435 mm 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 2-6-2T built in 1917 by Henschel 28-029 - 1,435 mm 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge 0-10-0 built in 1911 by StEG 97-028 – 760 mm gauge 0-6-4 rack locomotive built by Floridsdorf JDŽ 150-003 - 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge – built in 1893 by StEG https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of... http://www.burger.si/MuzejiInGalerije... http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/si/s... http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/t... http://www.burger.si/MuzejiInGalerije... https://www.dampflok.at/index2.html?/... http://www.locomotives.com.pl/Freight...
