Accused In Haripad Jalaja Murder Case Nabbed| Mathrubhumi News

Alappuzha: The police on Monday arrested the accused in the sensational Jalaja murder case in Haripad. The arrested has been identified as Sajithlal, a native of Muttom in Haripad. Based on phone records and scientific evidence, the Crime Branch special investigation team identified the assailant, who had gone abroad. Further, they forced him to return and and recorded his arrest as he landed. Jalaja, who was staying alone at her residence in Muttom, was found murdered on August 13, 2015. Postmortem reports revealed that she was subjected to sexual assault before the murder. The investigations conducted by local police and Alappuzha Crime Branch team could not make any breakthrough. Accordingly, a special team was formed.
