On Sunday December 21st, 2025, churches from southern California held a concert in Los Angeles to honor veterans, active military, and first responders. The concert celebrated our America’s Heroes, honoring their sacrifice and giving encouragement for their dedication the country and their neighbors. The Celebrating America’s Heroes concert was held in the Harmony Gold Theater located in Los Angeles. The theater was at capacity with 300 attendees filled with church of God members and over 120 guests. s the event commenced, an introduction video of the World Mission Society Church of God was shown to all the attendees. Then Pastor Miquel who is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, gave an opening address filled with inspiring and encouraging words. The hosts for the night were Razel and Raquon, and they expressed their appreciation to all the guests. They hosts joyfully introduced each performance of the Southwest Region choir and orchestra. The performances began with a quartet performing the Star Spangled Banner and Amazing Grace, which brought comfort, hope, and grace to the audience. The orchestra then played graceful sounds of Merry-Go-Round of Life, reminding the guests to find beauty in motion, and meaning in the moments that refuse to stand still. The full choir then came out to sing Go the Distance, from the Disney film Hercules, The performance expressed perseverance, hope, and the heart that will always guide us home. Afterwards they sang Goin’ Home which captured the desire for rest, belonging, and the place we call home. The male duet with a full male choir the sang acapella of Nearer, My God, to Thee. The song conveyed universal longing to draw closer to God, to find comfort in His presence, and to seek guidance and peace even in life’s most challenging moments. The female quartet and female choir then sang You Raise Me Up. Through this performance, the audience felt the power of encouragement, faith, and the love to lift each other up when we feel we cannot stand on our own. Afterwards, the male octet performed American Medley, which reflect the spirit and history of our nation. The performance reminded the everyone who attended of who we are, and who we aspire to be. The next performance was the male and female octet with the the choir as they joyfully performed Amigos Para Siempre, which means “Friends Forever”. The song expressed the bonds of friendship, the joy of connection, and the memories that stay with us forever. Lastly, the event closed out with God Bless the USA, as the male quartet, choir, and orchestra performed with American pride. The performance reminded the audience that no matter where we go, or what challenges we face, there is no place like the land we call home. Through the gracious event, many in attendance learned about the World Mission Society Church of God and their efforts and support for the community, the country, and the world. The glory of God Elohim shined bright through the concert as the members of the church of God worked in unity to make this event honorable. The World Mission Society Church of God will continue to support America’s Heroes through more future event concerts, community volunteer services events, and more.
