Anchors are commonly used on surfaces such as wood, concrete, steel and more. Some anchors can be used for more than one surface type. Next, we cover how to run cabling (straining wire) through the installed corner and intermediate anchors. Straining wire is attached to corner anchors using ferrules. Depending on the size of the project use 1/16" or 3/32" diameter cable and ferrules should be used. Next, we show the proper use of turnbuckles to tighten the straining wire. Once the turnbuckle has been attached to the cable and corner anchor, twist and tighten the turnbuckle. Repeat on all sides of netting. Then, we cover how to properly open up the netting bundle. Netting naturally has a diamond shape, which will need to be shaped with the help of others. Corners are marked with an identification tag and string. Next, we show you how to hog ring the net to the cable perimeter. Using a hog ring tool and hog rings will disperse tension when installing the net. This will allow the net to take shape of the cable perimeter and structure. Now, after the net has been attached to the cable, we can clean up the netting and trim excess net. Lastly, we cover the finishing touches such as installing net zippers. Zippers allow access to anything behind or above the net, like light fixtures, sprinklers, AC/HVAC units and more.
