The Mangrove Coast Fly Fishers (MCFF) invite you to join us for one of the most meaningful nights of the year as we prepare for our annual Spring Fundraiser in Sarasota, Florida. This year’s event takes place on April 11th, 6pm, at Fogartyville and proudly features the internationally recognized Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) and centers around our 2026 theme, Rooted in Conservation. Fly fishing is more than a sport. It is a connection to fragile ecosystems, coastal fisheries, estuaries, mangrove shorelines, and freshwater habitats that require active protection and stewardship. The MCFF Spring Fundraiser is our opportunity to bring together anglers, conservation organizations, local businesses, guides, and outdoor enthusiasts to support the future of our fisheries and waterways across the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our fundraiser will take place at the historic Fogartyville Media and Arts Center in Sarasota. The evening will include screenings from the Fly Fishing Film Tour, raffles, live auctions, food, beverages, guide trips, fly fishing gear giveaways, and community fellowship among passionate conservation-minded anglers. This video serves as both an invitation and a call to action. Conservation efforts require funding, volunteer support, and community involvement. Proceeds from this event directly benefit local conservation initiatives focused on protecting water quality, restoring habitats, supporting fisheries research, and educating the next generation of fly fishers and environmental stewards in Southwest Florida. The theme Rooted in Conservation represents the idea that every cast, every fish caught, and every day spent on the water depends on healthy ecosystems. Mangrove forests, seagrass flats, estuaries, and coastal wetlands are essential to sustaining tarpon, redfish, snook, trout, and countless other species that define Florida fly fishing opportunities. Without conservation, the future of these fisheries is uncertain. MCFF has long been committed to supporting organizations that protect Sarasota Bay, Tampa Bay, and surrounding Gulf Coast waters. Through community partnerships and fundraising efforts like this event, our club continues to play a role in preserving Florida’s natural resources for future anglers and outdoor families. We are asking our members, supporters, and the fly fishing community to help by donating, volunteering, attending the event, and sharing the message of conservation. Early donations help secure the venue, film licensing for F3T, food, beverages, raffle prizes, auction packages, and guided fishing experiences donated by local outfitters and professional guides. If you are passionate about fly fishing, habitat protection, saltwater conservation, or simply love spending time on Florida waters, this event is designed for you. Whether you are a seasoned angler, beginner fly fisher, or conservation advocate, you are part of the solution. Join Mangrove Coast Fly Fishers as we celebrate fly fishing culture, conservation partnerships, and the outdoor community that makes Sarasota a premier destination for Gulf Coast fly fishing. Help us continue protecting the waters that give us so much. Mark your calendar, spread the word, and ask yourself: Are you rooted in conservation?
