Do YOU need a TEFL Certification to teach English in Spain? (As an American or Non-EU)

In this video I talk about whether or not American's need to have a TEFL Certificate to get a job in Spain as an English Teacher. In Europe, especially Spain it is much harder to get work as an English teacher without have an EU passport or EU work permission. Without EU or Spain Work permission, it is not possible to get a job, even if you have a TEFL Certificate. So having a TEFL doesn't help Americans or Non-EU get jobs. If you are determined to teach in Spain, your next option is becoming a language assistant and with this, the education requirement is a degree in any field. A TEFL is not necessary, you don't even need experience in education.
